Chief of Staff
Overview
Our client is a leading global shipbroker based in London, with an international office network. They are looking for a Chief of Staff to work closely with the COO, with direct access to the CEO, in a high-visibility role at the heart of the business. It’s a broad and exceptionally varied position, covering strategy, organisational design, and operations, and offers real scope for influence and ownership from day one.
Expectations
- Drive strategic and digital transformation initiatives across the business, including AI adoption.
- Lead cross-functional projects and organisational initiatives from inception through to completion, with a high degree of autonomy.
- Contribute to organisational design, business development and wider strategic planning.
- Oversee the Global Admin function, including facilities, services, travel and the wider office environment.
- Establish consistent standards and best practice across the company’s international offices.
- Act as a trusted partner to the CEO and COO, anticipating priorities and ensuring effective execution of key business objectives.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a comparable Chief of Staff or strategic operations role, gained within a demanding, high-performance environment.
- Strong experience within trading houses, investment banking, fast-moving tech, private equity or similarly complex organisations
- Ex-military candidates with relevant post-service corporate experience (desirable)
